Parents & Friends
The Parents & Friend’s Association at Holy Cross is a school-based organisation with a mission to make the school a better place for children to learn. Parents of our students work together with teachers to volunteer in classes, raise money for school supplies, and generally support the school’s efforts. This vibrant group meet regularly and run such things as the Mothers/Father’s Day stalls, the Welcoming BBQ and provide special days for our students. This is a wonderful group to join to make new friends and feel a real part of our school community.
This dedicated group of parents work with the School Principal to discuss and advise on school governance issues and direction for our school. This is a consultative group that represents our parent body. This advisory council provides another very important opportunity for you to be involved in our school community.
Working Bees at Holy Cross are a fun way to meet new families whilst beautifying our vast school grounds at the same time. Some of the tasks completed at working bees include general pruning and maintenance of garden beds as well as larger projects in the vineyard or olive grove. Everyone is welcome to attend our working bees which are usually held once per term on a Saturday morning. At the conclusion of each is an opportunity to join in a family BBQ together. Students are welcome to attend on these days too.
